My practice here in Key West is a select, focused, civil practice with particular emphasis on real estate, commercial and business related matters, probate, estate planning, wills and trusts, and mediation. I continue to have a limited law practice in Illinois.
Much of my client communication, research, data base maintenance, and document preparation is computer assisted. I am a "managing partner" of a "virtual law firm." Through my extensive experience and relationships with some of the best lawyers in the country, I am able to bring to bear the necessary expertise and help required to realize my clients' objectives on a project by project basis. My "partners" and "associates" include experts in state and federal taxation, asset protection techniques, immigration (including the securing of investor visas) bankruptcy and reorganization, complex civil and commercial litigation, trademark and copyright law, construction law, domestic relations matters, personal injury, workers compensation, criminal matters, complex estate planning, elder law and other areas of specialized knowledge.
My clientele tend to be persons and entities who require close personal attention to their matters, a creative mind, an extensive background in business and law, wide experience and local contacts, and a "get it done" attitude. My style of practice is personal, direct, practical and good humored. I think of myself as a progressive and effective lawyer, and a good friend and counselor to my clients.
I am a trained arbitrator and mediator. I have completed the training requirements for Circuit Court Civil Mediation in Florida and have served as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
